This picturesque and peaceful place, where the longest Czech river was born, is an excellent destination for a day trip. If you are looking for a connection with nature, tranquillity and moderate physical exercise, a trip to the Vltava Springs is an ideal choice.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3311185 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3311185\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What are the Vltava Springs?\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e1cedca elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e1cedca\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"\" data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"938\"><strong data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"627\">The headwaters of the Vltava<\/strong> are not the only point where the Vltava River originates - it is a system of springs that make up the so-called <strong data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"736\">Czech Vltava<\/strong>. The main spring is located below the \u010cern\u00e1 hora mountain (1315 m above sea level), at an altitude of about 1172 metres. The site is arranged in the form of a small stone spring, surrounded by benches and information boards.    <\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"1208\">However, the true hydrological source of the Vltava lies a few kilometres away - <strong data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1022\">the Tepl\u00e1 Vltava<\/strong> is only one of the sources, the main tributary being the Vltava Stream, which rises not far from Borov\u00e1 Lada. Symbolism and history<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1564\">The Vltava is the longest river in the Czech Republic and the source of its \u201c\u0160umava soul\u201d has a deep meaning. The place was already developed for tourism during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and in the past there was also a memorial plaque of Emperor Franz Joseph I. The silence that reigns here is a reminder of the power of nature and of times past. <\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1566\" data-end=\"1599\">2. Enchanting nature of \u0160umava<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1601\" data-end=\"1832\">The route to the Vltava Springs leads through <strong data-start=\"1636\" data-end=\"1679\">peat bogs, mountain meadows, spruce forests<\/strong> and views of the surrounding Sumava peaks such as Boub\u00edn, \u010cern\u00e1 hora or Luzn\u00fd. You will often see <strong data-start=\"1772\" data-end=\"1788\">wildlife<\/strong> - deer, roe deer, foxes or rare birds. <\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"1860\">3. Quiet and few tourists<\/h3><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1862\" data-end=\"1998\">Unlike busier places like Lipno or \u010cern\u00e1 jezero, the Vltava Springs are relatively quiet - especially outside the high season.<\/p><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2036\">4. Horsk\u00e1 Kvilda to Kvilda.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1608\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1510\" data-end=\"1608\">After approx. 6.5 km at the end of Kvilda you will join the  <strong data-start=\"1539\" data-end=\"1562\">cycle path no. 1041<\/strong>which will take you through the beautiful \u0160umava plains and forest path to the Vltava Springs.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"\" data-start=\"1913\" data-end=\"2024\"><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1916\" data-end=\"2024\">You can choose the same route back or you can make it more interesting by returning via <strong data-start=\"1992\" data-end=\"2002\">Bu\u010dina, where <\/strong>you can stop at the Hotel Alpsk\u00e1 vyhl\u00eddka for refreshments.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><hr class=\"\" data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2029\"><h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2031\" data-end=\"2049\">Travel tips:<\/h3><ul data-start=\"2050\" data-end=\"2309\"><li class=\"\" data-start=\"2050\" data-end=\"2124\"><p class=\"\"
